Fyvie Castle

In my small hometown one of the families is of Scottish ancestry. Their name is Fyvie, when they heard that mom was headed to Scotland they told her about this castle they wished to visit because it shares their name. We found it on a map and saw it wasn’t out-of-the-way at and decided to stop, take some pictures, and get something branded from the gift shop.

You turn off the highway and follow what I would call a one lane, two-way street. Not sure what I mean, check out some bit of us driving down the lane to Fyvie Castle.

Once on the grounds and safely parked the 13th century castle is amazing. They have a nice garden.

The castle itself takes a great picture and has little hidden secrets to find and photograph.
