Pompeii
Mom and I had a flight in the late morning. We left Dubrovnik and headed to Naples. A bus went directly to Pompeii, near the main entrance of the archaeological site. We wanted to find our hotel and drop off our bags before we ventured into the archaeological site. Our hotel was near the back entrance of the site and it took it just over half an hour to walk there and find it. Hot, tired, and cranky we finally reached the hotel. Dubrovnik
Mom chose Dubrovnik as a travel destination this summer so we could visit some of the Game of Thrones filming location. Want to know about the Game of Thrones locations? Read about it here. After leaving Rome mom and I landed in Dubrovnik. The airport is quite a ways from the city. There are a number of bus lines that go to Old Town and the Bus Station. Rome
Summer break means it’s time to travel again. Mom has a number of places she wants to visit. This year it happened that Europe had a few destinations we could cross off her bucket list. We started with 48 hours in Rome. We flew into Rome, landing at about nine in the morning local time. To our bodies though it was midnight. Despite very little sleep on the airplane, we were determined to beat jetlag by treating the day as its own day and not constantly thinking about what time it was back home.
