Inverness

hav

We finally arrived in Inverness in the early evening. Most of our day was driving from Glasgow, exploring the various Lochs, villages, and sites along the way.

We didn’t have as much time as we wanted in town. There had been may extra stops on the drive up. We used all of our time to go out and explore the city. There were many walking streets and that made it easy to explore.

Inverness has its own castle. The castle overlooks the river and is home to the Sheriff’s Court.

Inverness has many churches, such as the Ness Bank Church with a recently installed statue out front and the Old High Church.

There are wonderful old buildings with amazing architecture and a nice river. The river has a nice walking path that can be followed to see much of the town.

The local pub also reminds people of the relationship between friendship and whisky. If you are not a whisky drinker, like me, imaging it with your drink of choice in place of whisky.
